Backstage at the Tibi fall 2015 runway show, Cassandra Garcia for Bobbi Brown helped bring multipurpose pink makeup to life. I love a cotton candy lip, cherry blossom cheek, and rosy pastel lids but have never worn them all at once. Tibi’s monochromic pink palette caught my eye, though, and made me wonder, Is it possible to wear all this pink without looking too precious? Time to test!

Here it is on the model:

And how I re-created it on myself:

Step 1: You know the drill: Start with a clean, moisturized face as essential pre-makeup prep for any look.

Step 2: Apply foundation for flawless, even skin. For lighter coverage, use your fingers; for more coverage, go with a sponge or brush. For this look, I used Lorac POREfection foundation in Fair ($36, ulta.com).

Step 3: Grab a bright pink powder blush, like Bobbi Brown Blush in Pale Pink ($28, nordstrom.com), and apply it to the apples of your cheeks with a light touch.

Step 4: Glide on a sheer pink lipstick for a pop of color. I opted for Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color in Taffeta ($27, sephora.com) here. If you want more of a matte finish, apply pink blush over lipstick as well.

Step 5: Using the same blush from step two (hello, convenience!), apply to eyelids with a shadow or crease brush, focusing on the inner corners and sweeping outward.

Step 6: Fill in the sparser areas of your eyebrows with a brow pencil like Lancôme Le Crayon Poudre in Natural Blonde ($26, lancome-usa.com) or powder for a naturally defined look.

Step 7: Give your eyes extra definition with black mascara, applied to both top and bottom lashes. One to try: CoverGirl The Super Sizer Mascara in Very Black ($7.49, drugstore.com).

And there you go! The key is keeping everything light and soft, allowing the allover pink to accentuate, not overwhelm, your features.
