8 Treatments We Can Perform with Face Masks
If there is one thing we are certain of, it is that we all deserve some TLC right now!
While we ensure that our medical protocols meet and exceed all CDC and state guidelines (you can read about them here), the individual comfort of our patients is really important to us! That’s why we have created a list of our 8-favorite tried and true treatments that we can perform while you keep your face mask on if you are more comfortable keeping it on!
Spoiler alert: Botox is one of them!
8 Aesthetic Treatments:
1) Lower-face rejuvenation:
This treatment is performed by using a light series of wrinkle relaxers in the neck & lower face. Combined with Kybella (also safe to use with masks on), this treatment will help tighten skin and permanently destroy fat cells in the ‘double-chin’ area. There really is no better time to disguise your post-treatment swelling than now!
2) Temple filler:
Using dermal filler to restore volume in the temples can lift the lower face and give definition to the brows and eye area. The result? A more youthful appearance that will open up your entire face!
3) Earlobe filler:
We may think of lips and cheeks when it comes to dermal filler, but we can also use dermal filler in others areas that show volume loss over the years. Some of these areas include our hands, which lose volume over time; and earlobes, which have been stretched from years of wearing heavy earrings. Treating the earlobes with dermal filler can correct ‘droopy’ ears and help create support for earrings.
4) Brow lift:
A tried and true SBL classic! Wrinkle relaxers can lift brows and open the upper face when injected in the muscles that pull down the brows.
5) Chemical peels:
In-office chemical peels provide numerous skin care benefits, and while they are typically applied to the face, the neck and chest can also benefit from these treatments by repairing sun damage and hyperpigmentation. At Skin by Lovely, we offer several different chemical peels with each peel providing somewhat different results. They are chosen depending upon the patient’s individual skin type and aesthetic goals.
6) Hyperhidrosis:
Sweat much? If you are one of the many people who suffer from excessive underarm sweating, hand or hairline sweating, wrinkle relaxers like Botox may help you manage the symptoms of excessive sweating! After receiving treatment, you will sweat less in the treated area. This procedure does not interfere with the body’s ability to produce moisture elsewhere, so it is safe.
7) Sculptra:
Sculptra is an injectable liquid made of Poly-L-Lactic Acid that acts as a bio-activator and extremely powerful collagen stimulator. It stimulates your own collagen, allowing tissue to volumize gradually. Over time, the Poly-L-Lactic Acid dissipates as your own tissue takes its place. Since the product triggers your body to build its own collagen, results are not immediate and can take anywhere from 4-6 months. Sculptra can be treated in the face, but also in the elbows, knees and chest to help stimulate collagen in crepey and thinning skin.
8) Lateral tear-trough:
Performed with dermal fillers, this treatment adds volume to the outer eye & may help balance cheeks (very ideal treatment for side sleepers )
