Lipstick: We’ve read that you were asked to do Kate Middleton’s makeup for her engagement photos but couldn’t because of scheduling. What makeup look from your line would you love to see on her?
CT: Kate is the ultimate Uptown Girl [a collection in Charlotte’s makeup line]. It’s all about pretty, polished perfection; flawless skin, well-groomed brows, a pinky pearl and gray smoky eye, and a soft rose-tinted lip. It’s an effortless, sophisticated look.

Lipstick: What’s in your personal beauty stash right now?
CT: I never go anywhere without Magic Cream and Wonderglow Primer—I start all makeup with this transformative duo. Magic Cream floods the skin with moisture and has Bio-Nymph Peptide Complex to stimulate collagen product and fight wrinkles for a dewy, plumped-up finish. Wonderglow has breakthrough Fluorescent Core Technology to re-emit natural light through the skin for a lit-from-within effect. I call it Gisele in a Jar! I adore Oribe Dry Texturising Spray to re-create that Brigitte Bardot gorgeous, back-combed just-out-of-bed look—and it smells divine! I also swear by my Clarisonic. I use it every day with my 3-in-1 Multi-Miracle Glow for a mini spa facial. It deep-cleans the skin, leaving it fresh and baby soft.

Lipstick: Is there anything surprising in your professional kit?
CT: I swear by Vaseline—it’s smooth and rich in oils, giving you the perfect base for lipstick. I buy it in bulk when I’m in Ibiza.

Lipstick: You must always be sharing tricks with the models you work with—have any of
them ever taught you anything about makeup?

CT: An ex-supermodel told me how to reshape and resize my nose many years ago, and I’ve been using it ever since: For a dainty, elegant nose, use a naturally tan contour shade underneath the tip of the nose, and then dust a light-reflecting highlight shade down the bridge for gorgeous, sculpted perfection.

Lipstick: Nude lips were everywhere during Fashion Week. How can a woman find her perfect shade of beige that won’t wash her out?
CT: The trick to wearing a nude lipstick is to balance the overall look; choose a bronzer or blusher that puts the color back in your cheeks, and always apply it as the last stage to ensure its not overpowering. Don’t choose anything that’s two tones lighter than your natural lip tone, and make sure there’s a little pink in the hue so it doesn’t look too washed out.
