Need vacation inspiration? How about a virtual trip to the South of France? Well, look no further, because Glamour‘s beauty assistant Jen Mulrow has got you covered. In a beauty-focused travel diary, Jen shows her hacks for staying hydrated on the plane and channeling Brigitte Bardot at the beach. Sit back, up your brightness, and bon voyage!

Can you spot the beauty assistant on board? She’s probably the one wearing Klorane eye patches and a Sephora sleeping mask. Because in the words of famous philosopher Carrie Bradshaw, “I want to arrive stunning and impossibly fresh-looking.”

First stop, St. Tropez! I brought along a few Charlotte Tilbury x Norman Parkinson goodies because, I mean, they sort of belong here, right? The vintage-inspired compacts feature some of the fashion photographer’s iconic images (hello, Jerry Hall!). I especially love the Colour of Youth Lip & Cheek Glow for on-the-go touch ups and the Filmstar Bronze & Glow for some color without any sun damage.

I spent the afternoon exploring the pastel heaven that is St. Tropez. The shopping is no joke either. My favorite stop? The Dior mansion that is any fashion or beauty lover’s dream. While I didn’t end up buying anything, just walking through the carefully curated rooms was souvenir enough.

For maximum touring potential, I kept my outfit easy: tie-waisted maxidress and simple flat sandals. There were too many cobblestone streets for anything else!

Next stop, Monte Carlo. I took a lunch break at the popular Café de Paris, located right next to the Grand Casino. Perfect for people watching with a cup of coffee. Plus it had the coolest menus in Monaco.

How to dress up your daytime pony? Tie a colorful silk scarf around the elastic, and you’re good to go.

Monte Carlo’s spa scene is legendary, so I stopped by the Thermes Marins for a little La Prairie lovin’. One 60-minute facial later and my skin felt baby-skin soft. My take-away tip? Apply a mask with a fan brush for that ultra-relaxing, spa-like experience.

For nighttime, I wanted a warm, peachy glow. I went with my trusty La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream Blush (that I stocked back up on at the spa!) for a natural flush, Urban Decay Naked Palette for a slight smoky eye, and MAC Lipstick in A Sprinkle of Magic for a coral finish.

My skin care team for the week! And yes, I might’ve packed more beauty products than articles of clothing. As someone who likes more of an extensive routine, I made sure to cover all the bases: cleanser, Foreo, toner, essence, serum, sunscreen, eye treatment, moisturizer, mist, and a good mask or two.

Last stop, Antibes! I debuted some nautical stripes and low pigtails in honor of French Riviera beauty babe, Brigitte Bardot. While the pigtails are a bit more Viva Maria than And God Created Woman, they’re still my go-to, textured hair-move for the beach. Who needs sea salt spray when you have actual sea salt?

Where better to test out blue mascara than Côte d’Azur, a.k.a. the Blue Coast? I brought along this aquamarine Chanel mascara top coat for a test-drive and was not disappointed.

Major Marie Antoinette vibes at the hotel in Antibes. Sofia Coppola, are you there?! (Oh my God, I wish.)

I gave my skin a break and went sans makeup for a gorgeous walk along the coast. (I’m still wearing sunscreen though because, hi, I’m Irish and pale. Plus, you should always wear it, regardless of your complexion.)

Thanks for traveling along. Au revoir!
