Beginner’s guide to skincare

You’re probably wondering: What is skincare? Skincare is a science, and you can do it right! I’ll show you how.

Cleansing

Cleansing is the first step in your skincare routine, and it’s important to do it right. In order to understand how to cleanse your face, you need to know what cleansing actually is. Cleansers are designed to remove dirt and makeup from your skin, which can clog pores if left on too long without being removed.

Once you’ve learned about the importance of cleansing, it’s time for the fun part: choosing which cleanser is best for you! There are many different kinds of cleansers out there–each one has its own special properties that make them unique from others on the market today.* Some have special ingredients like glycolic acid or salicylic acid (which help exfoliate dead skin cells) while others focus on nourishing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid.*

Now that we’ve covered why cleansing is so important (and which types there are), let’s talk about when exactly should be doing this step in our routines: The rule of thumb here would be every night before bedtime because this gives us enough time during sleep hours so when wake up next morning feeling refreshed with clear complexion free from any impurities found throughout day activities such as sun exposure or pollution caused by air conditioning systems within buildings where occupants work/live inside day after day year round without taking breaks outside even once per week during summer months due heat wave conditions lasting longer than usual duration due lack rainfall activity during early spring months preceding March 1st date which marks official start date each year when winter season ends).

Toning

Toning is a step that many people skip, but it’s important to include in your skincare routine. After cleansing, toners remove excess dirt and oil from your skin so that the next steps in your routine can do their job more effectively. Toners can be liquid or gel-like, depending on what you prefer; they may also be labeled as waterless cleansers or astringents if they contain alcohol.

Some people use toners instead of moisturizers because they believe these products help prevent wrinkles by tightening skin cells around pores so they don’t become enlarged over time–but this isn’t necessarily true! In fact, some experts believe that using too many harsh products on dry areas like lips could actually cause damage instead of preventing it (just like exfoliation). So if you’re worried about aging spots now or later down the road…use caution when choosing which products are right for you!

Moisturizing

Moisturizing is a basic skincare step that’s important for keeping your skin hydrated. Moisturizers can be in the form of lotion, cream or gel and are applied directly to the face, hands, body and feet.

Many moisturizers contain ingredients like shea butter or cocoa butter which help to lock in moisture while providing additional benefits such as repairing damaged skin cells and soothing irritation (e.g., caused by shaving). Some also contain SPF so you can get some sun protection while you’re at it!
